Biography

Director of IT and involved with the Cyber Technology Risk Automation at Fiserv joined our team as a consultant on January 27, 2025.  Ryan Teixeira and Joseph Riano worked with Barbara when she initially joined First Data (now Fiserv) back in 2001.  She has 23 years of hands on experience performing database administration, capacity planning, security compliance and vulnerability management, performance tuning as well as DevOps and ITOps roles.  Her dutiful experience progressed into a Director IT role reporting into Guy Chiarello’s organization (https://www.linkedin.com/in/guychiarello/) where she oversaw 29 global DBAs, was responsible for over 1,700 databases and responsible for auditing the ever-increasing threats faced by global financial transaction processing and ensuring that data and access to it adhered to Center for Internet Security (CIS) best practices.  This includes access controls and authentication, encryption, regulation compliance, system monitoring, incident response plans and backup and recovery plans.
